Bjorn the Fell Handed Empty
PostSubject: Bjorn the Fell Handed   Bjorn the Fell Handed EmptyWed Jan 27, 2010 1:11 am

So playing 40k Saturday got me revved up to do some Space Wolves painting (Thanks CJ!). I've had Bjorn converted for a while, but just finally painted him up.

I went with a darker color for Bjorn. He's pretty ancient, so I didn't make his armour very bright. I'm pretty happy with the freehanding. I don't really have a ton of artistic skill, so I'm happy with it. I'm also pretty darn happy with the lightning claw effect. It's my first time trying it, and I really like how it came out. I used Gemrich's snow recipe for the snow (microballoons kick ass). I still suck with fur...any suggestions on painting it before I try and do some Fenrisian wolves would be huuuge. Overall, I'm pretty happy with him for the time I put in (around 6 hours). He'll look nice on a table, but won't win any awards.

I haven't made a base yet, so please...suggestions are welcomed!

You showed me how to mix the microballoons and glue. I can't take credit for that.

Thanks on the heraldry props. I messed up one of the wings on the banner because the paw threw me off, but I didn't want to paint over it, have to rewash, and fix it because I'm lazy.
