Well, I've never done one of these confounded painting blogs, so here's my first. I'm painting up my 1850 Space Wolves List. Here's the first entry, my first Blood Claws pack.

As you'll see, I'm going with a little dirtier, battle worn look. It isn't super pretty, but I think they look sufficiently Space Wolfy.

He isn't quite done yet. I've got to some highlighting and still need to do his Great Company badge.

Here's my first drop pod. Special thanks to Gemrich for base coating them for me... and for helping get my car out of the automobile graveyard that was the Yottaquest parking lot.

Nothing special here.

And a WIP of my first Thunderwolf Cavalry model

Oh, sorry CJ. I use microballons mixed 1:1 with plain elmers glue, then while it's drying, sprinkle some of the Gale Force 9 snow on top to make it glisten. Really simple.

You can get the microballons at hobbytown or probably any other place that has model airplanes/cars (colerain hobbies maybe?). When you mix it, you want to make sure it looks sort of like toothpaste before you apply it.

I did try some freehanding here, and I think it went well. There's also a tattoo on the dude's face. I think it looks aight... Also, on the wolf, I greenstuffed the armour plates...they suck, but whatever.

As a bonus, I finished a Wolf Guard. Yay. Again, he's okay, nothing special, did some freehanding on the badge, but he'll look good on the table, and that's what I'm shooting for. When I finally get around to painting the characters, I'll take a bit more time and do some more blending on the armour.

Okay, here's my Arjac Rockfist conversion. I don't think I'll even be using him in the list I'm running--though a 6'' railgun does sound sweet-- but here he is not yet painted.

Oh, and Makari or Matt...if either of you can move this thread to the WIP section, that'd be great!

Cloak, like you guessed, is green stuff. Shield is plasticard w/ a flattened hollowed out storm shield on top. Hammer is a bunch of bits mashed together. Anvil on top is from WHFB dwarf set.

It is actually a Heroclix model. I have some extras if anyone is interested. I was gonna see I could reposition them, but the plastic is really thick, so I'm not going to try and risk injuring myself.

Witt it looks like the end of the robe isn't quite "furred" all the way. Looks like raw greenstuff still. Might be the look you are going for though, leaving a rim of solid material at the bottom of the robe.

Also, check your PM... I want that old witch! Wink
