ACME Games is proud to be hosting our first ever GAMES FOR GAMERS AUCTION on Sunday, March 7 starting at noon.
How It WorksYou can bring up your gaming stuff and we'll auction it off for you. You can pick your own reserve price, come up early to display your items, and even write up your own description of the goods. You can use the amount you get from your auctions to bid on other auctions, pay for auctions you've already won, or for ACME gift certificates. You can immediately use those gift certificates to buy something off the store shelves or, if we don't have something in stock, order it with a 10% discount!
Even if you don't have anything to sell, you definitely should come out and check it out. There will be a lot of out-of-print or hard-to-find items. Check the forums to see what kind of things people are bringing. The thread on the forums to look for things and discuss the auction can be reached by clicking here:

Rules and RestrictionsThere are a few rules and restrictions on the auctions:
1) We reserve the right to restrict the number of auctions your submit. We do not want one person trying to auction off 200 old roleplaying games in individual lots, for example.
2) We reserve the right to reject auctions based on the content. No one wants to buy your lucky D20, no matter how good of a description you come up with for it.
3) Items must be gaming related.
The Day and TimeIf you have something you want to display, you can come up March 6th during normal business hours to set up your items. This will allow customers to come in and browse what you have to offer.
On March 7th, we will open up at 10:00 AM to take any additional items for the auction.
At noon on March 7th, we will begin the auctions!
We will split the auctions into four categories: Miniatures, Board Games, Roleplaying Games, and Other (including video and computer games). Each category will last for at least an hour but may run long. We will run the auctions in this order, so if you only care about Board Games you can come in at 1:00, for example.
Other InformationThere will be a thread on the ACME forums if you want to discuss the options, tell others what you will be auctioning off, or finding out what others will be bringing up. You can post here as well.
All winning bids must be paid for or balanced out with auction funds by the end of the day on March 7. We will not be paying out cash for people who "sell" items. We will be issuing ACME Gift Certificates for any proceeds you make from the auctions.
