Dakka Dakka Question about wrecked and destroyed vehicles

Kinda interesting what people are discussing on Dakka Dakka, I'd like to hear what some Caggers think or do!

This is another one of those rules situations that is certainly ambiguous, but doesn't really matter in all probability.

I just don't see this happening very often (I've never seen it happen, and I play a lot of 40k).

I'm pretty sure the models go on the board regardless of their proximity to enemy models in this situation. You definitely can't place them on top of enemy models though, so any models that don't fit physically would be destroyed.

I appreciate the debate process sometimes but man.... my head hurts.

Yeah th ethread has gotten out of hand and is now a back and forth arguement with no real new stuff being added as of yet.

I personally am kinda torn because of being able to swarm with orks!
Obviously Mike you and I need to play again lol.
But as you said Mike it doesn't seem to happen too often because I generally can't get all my boyz wrapped around the tank on the assault and vehicles don't usually last long enough to allow me to wrap around so there is enough space to place models more than the 1" away. I'm going to have to do some more research on this ruling!

Mike Leon doesn't use vehicles anymore anyway. Vehicles are for things that don't have jump packs.

Does the INAT faq address this issue?

also i dont get the question as the rule book states clearly

The question isn't about Wrecked vehicles but about exploded vehicles.
For some reason I didn't even think to check the INAT FAQ I am really slipping here...

Yeah it seems they are trying to skip rules over just to make one that allows their units to live from a ork swarm, its always enjoyable to watch those post on dakka
