Should the defiler have a base? I know it does not need one.. its allowed to not have.. But do you think it should have one?

Pg.72 Rulebook - Measuring Ranges: If a walker does not have a base (like the Chaos Defiler), measure to and from its hull (including its legs and other limbs), as normal for vehicles.

So with that coming strait from the rulebook I would say there is never a need to have one unless it was for modeling purposes.

I've never used one. The footprint of the definler is little more than a rhino turned sideways.

With that said, I think it would be perfectly acceptable to mount it on a base if you would prefer it.
