River Troll

One down. 5 to go. Not sure I'm loving the color or execution but here you go.

Individually I love the color, as a unit they may blend together and become blah.

Possibly could change the color of the webbing, maybe a orange or blue on like 2 or 3, to individualize them and break the unit up a bit.

I wouldn't do more than the purple-ish webbing and then one other color, whatever you choose.

With all the green (skin, base, scales) things may be "muddy" looking if all the Trolls are all similar.

I could be WAY off base too, still working on my color theory, but hey just throwing it out there.

Please don't take this the wrong way because the paint job looks amazing it just feels like there is just way to much going on with it with all the different colors and all the different patterns.

The model looks great esp those scales. My eyes are drawn to the base which brings everything to that "muddy" appearance (though the grey background contributes) Plop him on some scenic water effects base with some rocks and that model should pop.. keep em coming man! Dig that box set..

The base is lame b/c it matches the rest of my OG army which I started 6 years ago. Someday I might go back and rebase everything but I doubt it.

It looks great, the work of colors can be distracting sure but without them then it wouldn't look as good. that water stuff effect I think is what all river trolls are missing a little of it on some of their body's make them look still slimy and wet, just my opinion.

That is the only one painted so far, and once they are painted there is probably a snowballs chance in hëll of John repainting them.

Again like my other post about terminators I am full of speculation (and others may say shït too, but hey).

Oh I think this 1 looks excellent but I just wanted a group shot. (Better than asking for a money shot.)
