Shooting/Assualting Empty

Still haven't gotten the rules yet, but using the new Quickstart .pdf from Privateer Press, if you have a warjack that has a gun and an axe (the Destroyer of Khador for example), when you activate them, can you shoot the gun, then assault? That wasn't very clear reading through the quickstart....

(also, I needed one more post for 900, so I figured I'd ask this anyways Smile )

Actually you can't.

During a model's activation you can make attacks with your ranged or melee weapons, but not both. Some models have the assault ability, which allows both on a charge, but that's not the norm.

I haven't seen the finished MkII ruleset yet (haven't bought the book, and the quickstart isn't very clear about it).

So, if you give it some focus it can do both? That's good to know! Smile

No, you must exclusively use melee or ranged during a combat action, even if you use focus for additional attacks.

Some models have rules that specifically allow you to do both, but the standard rule is that you must choose one or the other.
