Anyone getting ready to buy a ton of stuff?

Once I finished the (relatively) cheap Deathwing I am planning to expand into a Black/White army. Bikes (of both types) and speeders all round.

Then after that, perhaps a company box to create the 3rd or 5th company of Dark Angels.

For this year however, it's going to be B/W army for me. Company box will appear in the spring.

The least that I'm going to do is find time and a space to play at least one Apocalypse battle.

I know we plan on throwing a ton of necrons on one side of the board around christmas, and then a ton of imperial troops on the other.

I think we are in a position to do a full 5000-6000 point Nid vs. Necron game too.

Necron team - Me, CJ, Greg

Tyranid team - CJ (his army at least), Marc, Greg (again his army at least)

So we will need to have plenty of people to play in those games.

Another thing I'm thinking of doing is joining one of the 'Ard Boyz tournaments. Anyone else going to try to be the 'Ardest of the Ard' Question

I've been hearing about these. Care to paraphrase how they work for me?

So from what I have read, the 'Ard Boyz tournaments are 2500 pt tournies with no scores for composition, painting, sportsmanship etc. It's just all about winning the battles. The tournament has three rounds. Local qualifiers, regional tournaments and the championship is in Baltimore the night before games day. The rules for 'Ard Boyz are online at GW.

Cool I'll have to check that out.

Back on topic though, what is everyone planning to do for apocalypse?

Buy more models? A superheavy? a titan?

Way I see it it's not too hard to plan now. We already know there won't be any force organization charts. We've seen all the data cards except two or three (The Emperors Talons data card has not been seen yet).

So what are you guys going to do!? They just threw the rules out the window so let's see what everyone's thinking!

They have a 120 gaunt data sheet. Not sure what it does. They also have a 5 carnifex data sheet. Again not sure on the rules.

The book is rumored to contain rules for the forgeworld biotitans. Although the models are remaining forgeworld.

Tyranid Data cards

The 120 gaunts-"More Bodies Than Bullets!" If an enemy unit shoots at the gaunt squads and scores five or more sixes to hit they do nothing to the gaunt squad and cannot shoot any more that turn

The 5 Carnies-"Mycetic Assault" All five Carnifexes get to deep strike in Mycetic Spores! pale

This is just from other forums though
