Certain unexpected situation came back karma-wise in a good way -

Looks like I will now be at Gen Con for most of Saturday.

If anyone wants to send me an e-mail or a PM with your cell number, maybe I can meet up with you for Lunch.

Went up yesterday for a day trip and had a great time! I picked up a new game while there that shows a ton of promise. Its called Ex illis . I bought a lot of it and will be showing it off at EGC this weekend.

I saw this too but I just don't get using a computer of I phone app to do all your resolution.

I picked up the following new items:

Hordes - Gun Boar
Malifaux - Kirai box set and Gaki's along w/ second rule book
FFG: City of Thieves board game
Soda Pop Miniatures - Dungeon Adventures (Awesome Anime style D&D figs.. games should be out next year).

Played:
Uncharted Seas
Malifaux (a lot)
Pitch cars

Drank:
Way to much

Sleep:
Way to little

Cool Things on the horizon:
Mercs (scifi skirmish; rule book was mis printed)
Elf terrain from GF9
Dust Tactics - seriously thought about buying the miniatures board game but did not.

I've had my eye on this since I saw the announcement. Were there any demos or anything? Any idea on how it plays?

Saw a few pictures of a castle display for this. From what I saw it looked like mostly robed mouse/rat people. Anything else of note from the display. Their Sci-fi range is pretty smooth (although not my cup of tea).

Also, does anyone know if the game Freebooters Fate was on display or anyone was doing demos? Though it looked pretty cool but haven't seem much about it since the announcement. The models look ace.

I've gotta get to Gencon next yer.

We got a game in, and I think it's really fun. It definitely has some 'screw your buddies' aspects to it, and plays very quickly. A really nice beer and pretzels game with great art.

They had 7 Kobold models of varying weaponry, and 6 heroes. The models are very, very nice looking, with clean molds and I can't wait to paint the one I picked up. Both John and I would have gotten more, but they were completely sold out by Saturday evening.

No one running it, but both The War Store and Coolminiornot had the figures for sale. The models are nice, but I honestly don't know anything about the rules, as no one had the rulebook.

As for me, I had a great time, and picked up the following:

Coolminiornot:
-- Scibor Dwarven King on War Bear
-- Coolminiornot exclusive Female Sniper
-- Sodapop Minis Dungeon Adventures Barbarian Hero

Privateer Press:
-- Captain Gunbjorn
-- Trollkin Skinner
-- Cygnar Triumph H-Warjack Upgrade Pack

Helldorado
-- Westerners Starter
-- Augustinius Raimond

Battlefoam
-- Hordes Bag
-- Pack 216

It was a really great time. I demoed and very much would have liked to buy Space Hulk - Death Angel card game, but they were sold out. I'll probably pick up the Dungeonquest boardgame, as it was very fun as well.

Tried L5R for the first time; wow, what a deep game with quite the learning curve.

Dag gone you guys...I was hoping to get my hands on the Super Dungeon figs myself, but they where gone with the quickness.

We will be running some of that next year! bounce

I grabbed some heck Dorado and Pitch Car and some Firestorm/Uncharted Seas.

It was a great time, but I need another vacation. So Dag gone tired.

Dude, Kain, you worked your ass off that entire time, as did your lady; which, being preggers and all, I have no idea how she did it.

I didn't pick up my FA box yet cause I don't know which faction I want to play... hmm.

And as for next year, I'm down for demoing/running events with you guys, for sure.

I think I am still hung over....

Friday Night and Saturday Night... low lights.

1) Liberated some paper terrain from the Wyrd boys:

2) Playing Teken w/ Dooley smashed off my Azz. Dooley goes.... "Are you just button mashing over there?" What the heck else would I be doing after 5 glasses of wine, Grand Marnier, and 6 pack.

3) Tattoo show at the WB Saloon. I mean....The one on the right looked like and Indian and the one on the left looked like a cowboy. The one in the middle kinda looked like Sean.

4) 'Dude are you bleeding?' Surprised I look down at the bath room floor and my foot... "yea... I am"

5) Sean sleeping in the bath tub and defending how comfortable it was the next day.

For sure. I had a 20 min or so talk with the designer, and if you're in any way, shape, or form, nostalgic about Super Nintendo RPGs, I think this game is going to hit your miniatures g-spot.

He was talking dragons, and wolves, and wizards, and all kinds of awesomesauce.

Those look great. I love older era RPGs. Secret of Mana is still one of my favorite games of all time. I'll have to keep an eye on this for sure. I so want the barbarian looking one.
