| I really want to play but I'm gonna need more details set up here.
The AoW forum is hard to navigate, it is blocked at work and the download time is way to long on my mobile compared to everywhere else I go in the gaming world (Dakka, Dragon painters, TTG, 513CAG, TableTopGamingNews, Wyrd...etc). Not sure why it takes 30 seconds to load a page there but it really is rough.
Sorry for the aside. |

Sorry for the aside. It's because I suck as a web developer! There are plans to fix that, but right now the immanent birth of my first child is sorta distracting me.

| All I'm saying is that my phone works everywhere else.
Just cause my phone likes to autospell weird Sh*T everytime I type doesn't mean it can't download a page in descent time.
I wish I could afford an Apple products like all you rich guys. |

| BACK ON TOPIC the makings of the league are similar to a map league- with some very Malifaux -like concepts of hiring mercenary squads to fight for/with you gaining SS bonuses for creating themed terrain for your faction HQ and so on Sorry you are having issues with the website forums.. but the discussions are going on pretty strong there Once the details are set out I'm sure we will transport the league plans here as well on a side note it would be a good idea to message AOW either by phone or e-mail and declare your Chosen League faction so far we have 2 Archanist 2 Outcasts 1 Resurectionist 1 Guild 0 Neverborn | |

but the discussions are going on pretty strong there Just saying that when you Iron out the dates and exact details post them up here too please. I don't have a lot of issues with forum on the home PC. I'm just rarely on it. Mostly work and mobile. The mobile comment was a jab at Kain, since I know who your developer is. I'd like to be on and contribute more to the AoW site, it just isn't as convenient as I'd like it to be. I'm all about me. |

| I'd be interested in this. How noob friendly would this be? I started working my way through the rulebook yesterday, but haven't played any games as of yet. I've got the Guild Lady J box set and Resurrectionist Kirai box set so I could start with either of those. | |

Noob friendly...? 70/30 will we treat you well and help you along: YES Will you be encouraged & Offered pointers to max-out your squad:YES Will you be given a pass on not knowing your squad:NO will you be coddled and walked through games: NO will you be singled out as the weak in the herd: Quite possibly will we be mean spirited about it: Doubtful the Guild is VERY straight forward, no real "Ritz & Sparkle" but fun and very effective against magic, solid attackers and serious survivability the Kirai squad is (from what I've seen) a some what finess squad based on leap froging pieces, swarm and magic duels *EDIT* in addition, the "Most Effective" Kirai squads require ALL the pieces in their particular unit, not just the box set making it a some what 'pricey' endevaor; where as a guild player may only require the addition of a totem character (Enslaved nephlem, Scales of justice) and perhaps another supporting fig

Sounds fair enough . I've only got the schemes/strategies section of the rulebook to go, and I'll have had a thorough read through under my belt. The game mechanics are far simpler/more intuitive that I had thought they would be after a first glance at the cards and hearing about the fate decks. - The Madman wrote:

I'd be down for adding myself as a Guild player. I've liked the Guild as a whole better than the other factions so no worries picking between those boxes. I picked up Kirai's box as the theme is Dag gone cool. I'll get around to her someday... So far I've got the Lady J. box and an Executioner. (26 soul stones) Any suggestions on where to expand to next? Was thinking that I would add 2 Guild Guard. That would put me right at 35 soul stones. Would you recommend some be held back for the cache instead of spending them all?

| the guard is a good choice but seriously look at getting a Totem character or perhaps the Ronin pack
one of the thing I enjoy about this game is whil you declair your master, you don't have to confirm your squad until AFTER you and your oponent establish the Encounter location and scenario!
so having some flexability in you kit like the choice between Guild Gard, Austringer(the fellows with falcons) an Outcast piece or a totem is a necessary part of a winning strategy

You choose faction, master and crew after strategies and schemes. However, with the requirement of 1 faction you will still have a choice of masters as you step up to a table. |

| @ Madman, I saw a post over on the Wyrd forums about a League in cincy. I believe this is yours/AoW? Do you have full details anywhere? Is it too late to get in on this with the Guild?

| in addition there are 2 parts one is a standard league; play people for VP and try to make a good ranking and have fun the other is a Malifaux themed "Map League" where you operate as your faction and try to gain more controll of the Malifaux world and it's resources | |
