Hey, I just moved to Cincy, but since there aren't any Games Workshops in the area I was wondering if there were any places where i could learn more about playing Warhammer 40k since i just started collecting and haven't really gotten to the competitive level.

Up, Up, & Away is your closest store. Kendall is really cool too. Yottaquest is near by as well and they have some leagues they play there alot. I'm sure you'll run into players there that can teach you.
Scifi City is a little further with tables set up to play.
Make good use of the Make a Date section and see when we have events or just find people to hook up with!

What Armies you play?

Been to Up up and Away, but didn't see any playing tables

I have just Space Marines atm, but the new WHFB edition has me curious, as well as games like Flames of War and Warmachines

Also my girlfriend has an interest in Tyranids

Kendall is very accomadating and when i go there usually provides a table or 2 depending on which day you go and give him time.

Space Marines are a very good army these days! Nids are another good one!

I am very well versed in 40K and WHFB! I can play and teach both games, I just dont get out to the west side very often...

I have several armies if your girlfriend would like to try playing nids if she doesn't already have them or if you need supplememnts to your marine army to try you are welcome to use them when I teach or if I'm near by.

If you're interested in checking out Warmachine, send Rogue4525 a PM; he's the local Press Ganger and does demos for the game pretty much anywhere in the Cincinnati area.

Just don't let him into your house, because he'll drink all your beer, eat all your cupcakes, and then wipe his hands off on your cat. True story.

(Maybe not... but the part about demos is all true. Rick's actually a great guy.)
