| Just played a sample of this content. My guess is this is part of the big push towards Space Marine because playing through this game unlocks the Power Sword weapon in Space Marine.
Storyline: You are one of the elite Marines on a Kill Team sent to stop an Orc Krooser that is heading straight for a forge world. You must destroy the Krooser and all of the Xenos infesting its hull.
Characters: You and up to one buddy (via Co-op, either same screen or maybe online) can choose to be one of the unique marines on this mission. The choices are Librarian, Sternguard Veteran, Vanguard Veteran, and Techmarine. Each type has special abilities that are unlocked as the game progresses. In addition to the marine type you also choose one of five chapters to originate from. They are Blood Ravens, Ultramarines, White Scars, Blood Angles, or Salamanders. I'm not sure that the chapters do anything other than change cosmetic appearance.
Gameplay: The game is simple enough, it is a top down third person shooter with light melee combat elements involved. As the game progresses you pick up powerups that boost your abilities in one way or another, for example Rapid Fire makes you shoot 3 or 4 times faster than you normally would (and on the Sternguard vet who's holding a Heavy Bolter, that gets ridiculous). You are given your objectives from the narrator, who is, for all intents and purposes, your Captain. With each kill performed or powerup used you gain points in an upgrade system for certain things such as increases to health, power cooldown, holding more grenades, etc.
My suggestion: This is a good game if you have a buddy to play along with, otherwise the levels can get rather frustrating playing by yourself. If you are a huge 40K nerd this is a good example of 40K in its dark gothic future. If you find yourself with 800 Microsoft Points to spend, then this is worth the price in my humble opinion. I'm not sure if this is on the PSN or how much it costs there, but I would assume it is similar in price.
Overall: I give it a 7/10, or about average with other downloadable titles. | |

| I just downloaded it last night, myself. I do like it, mostly. The only thing I didn't like is that the controls are not all that intuitive. The right stick is used for firing the weapon? Took a while to get used to... But, it's interesting, and for 10 bucks, not a bad price either! | |

| I've been waiting for this to come out for a while, sounds like a remake of Smash TV/Robotron. | |

| Sean, if I remember correctly, the PS3 version won't be out until fall. It's only out on the 360 right now... | |
