I am a PS3 owner but havent checked out CoD4, is it good?

Quite excellent.

I've had my brotherNlaw drop off 2 of the Clancy games (Vegas and Ghost Recon ..I think) and I just cant seem to eject CoD4 to even try those games

Don't bother, they were both really good...before CoD came out. Got my golden AK last night!

What is the "once you've leveled max you have a tough choice" nonsense?

I finally picked up a blue tooth set to yak at these fools who always stand in the doorway without moving or follow me to close where a single grenade takes out the entire squad... idiots

I need to latch onto a Clan. Whenever team opposite consists of the same Clan I know I'm doomed.

I could talk to my old clan, they run a CoD team on PS3 (but they practice like 5 hours a night, so may be a bit hardcore).

This is prestige mode, you lose EVERYTHING and go back to level 1, but get a new symbol. You can do this 5 times and each time you get a new symbol.

You get the golden AK-47 after getting all of the headshot achievements for every assault rifle. Golden SVD for headshots with all the snipes and other golden weapons for getting the headshot awards for smgs and shotguns.

I like to bling out while i go 112-18, containment really is a blood bath on headquarters.

One of the guys from my old clan went 215-36 on that gametype/map the other day, gross.

What is your weapon of choice? Perks?

Hmm, greatest weapons are either M16/M4 or the P90... P90 is really nasty with the large clip and tight bullet grouping.

I will run either red dots or silencers. The acog is pretty useless unless you are blind as it kills your peripheral vision.

Then I take the D.Eagle

I will normally run

Perk 1 - Fragx3
Perk 2 - Stopping Power
Perk 3 - Either Martydom (I hate it but I run it when playing headquarters) or more regularly I run extreme conditioning.

I will trade out Perk 3 (i think its in 3) for deeper bullet penetration for use with any of the LMG's.

That said, almost any gun in the game is good (except the scorpion )

Some of the perks are duds, like overkill. It lets you take two main weapons, but you will rarely need that and it wastes a perk.

A good combo for objective games where you have to cap is juggernaut and last stand, as you take a ton of bullets while capping and you keep capping while on last stand.

In FFA a silencer or UAV jammer will go a long way to keeping you out of harms way (as in this mode its normally...camp...see guy shooting on radar...hunt guy...kill guy).

What load out are you using right now?

G36C w/red dot & tiger

I could never get a handle on the P90 tho I have it up to red dot.

I'm asking for CoD4 and assasins creed from Santa so Hope to have it after christmas.

OMG CoD4 is freaking awesome... made my sister almost puke on the prologue on the ship... gonna try and play online soon gotta get used to the controls before I get people killed.

Ok So online CoD4 rocks out been playing that nonstop pretty much each night as soon as the kids get to bed. I have some regulars that hook up wit me too.

Hey marc, saw you invited me a couple of times but I had several people in my party already and I wasn't sure if they would get dumped if i joined yours, and my headset went dead. Look forward to playing with you though...

Sure, no worries. As soon as I'd see you I was prompted either "full party" or "server full" which I then hit the invite prompt again (maybe I only do that once? )
