Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I found out about this site just last week while at newport games and thought I'd check it out. What YOU should check out is my IG dream army for sale that I just couldn't get around to completing after I got out of the army. I was big into 40k for about 15 years now but recently got out of it, I guess it's just time to move on and I just dont have the time I'd like to spend on it. Anyway, everything that I'm selling is what I've collected over the years. In the future iI will be selling my SM army for relatively cheap. If anyone is interested hit me up. Take care and Tango Mike for looking.

Hi sgtlist.

Gotta agree with Makari (and not just because he owns the site Smile ). Depending on what shape your minis are in, you might be better off holding onto them for a while, and waiting for an edition/codex change. I hate to see people who spend a bunch of time making a beautiful army, get turned-off by some temporary rules problems, and then buy the exact same army back a few years later.

So, if you're not into $401K any more, what other games do you like to play?

Pretty much the last year I almost feel like im trying to avoid doing anything with 40k. I'ts just getting to be too expensinve.

not the only one. Hi btw and welcome to the boards! I feel the same way. Tho if you ask these guys, I can't stay interested in anything..lol

But that's besides the point. You hav eto play what you like and GW doesn't do it for me anymore. I'm dropping my load into Hawk Wargames new game Dropezone Commander. I can actually say for the first time, this game really gets me excited.

I also have a Malifaux Crew. With the new excitement of things starting around here for this as well, I can't seem to get excited. new rulebook. Changes coming to the game after I already went and just learned the current rules system.
Meh.....prolly getting out of that too. I onl can really do one game system myself. i just don't have the time to do multiple things and with work, I'm in advertising so that can consume my weeks to the point I don't want to do anything...lol

Either way, Welcome to CAG!!

We are a great group.

Agreed, though it's important to know the diff between burn out and never being interested again. I've been playing since RT, and I've pretty much skipped every other edition, and then gotten back into with renewed passion.

BTW, FoW is also a pretty good game, like the company behind it, feel like the rules are tight and fun to play. I also love the idea of having a real army of men moving around the field, in a way that's not possible in 28mm.

I did Flames.....had a US Armor company...played a couple of times....didn't really like it.

And I'm not burned out.....just lost interest.....it happens when you are a true Tau fan....lol

Tau really seem to have gotten the short end of the design stick, this is for certain. I think it's being a shooting faction that's all about melee. My Orks seem to be doing fairly well, but that's after the 'dex they got in 5th, 3rd orks really stank. My Dark Angels have struggled for years, but I can always run them as green Ultras, so no worries there.
