Well, just to show you guys I have not dropped off the face of the earth (have not had a game in many months...) I thought I'd post my latest creation. I guess I am having monsterous creature/giant robot envy - so here is the Mega-Squig...

Scratch-built it too. It has many GW bits - but all the structure is just plasticard.

I started with the legs (which I copied from one of my DUST walkers) and went from there. The top was my third try - the first couple of ork-like robot bodies looked goofy - so I settled an an anvil-shaped squig. It is a weapons platform too. It has a KillCannon and acouple Shootas.

I built it as a Megadread - but you could make a case for it being a Battlewagon or maybe a Gargantuan Squiggoth...

Here it is next to Battlewagon for scale.

The legs were fun to make - I might have to do more of these...

There is a paintbrushstuck in there since I have not pinned it yet - I am not sure what angle to give the head.

Here is the greasy gundeck. The lobes on the sides are pillboxes.
It has a truck engine as it's powerplant, with the scoop exposed like a dragster.

Thanks guys - I am very happy with it.
I am working on it's base now.

I need to do something more to it's face with paint, too... hmmmmm
His jaw is a little crooked - oh well.

If you want to see the whole build in stages - it is posted over on the Waaaugh!

I had so much fun with the squig that I made it a little brother. A walking truck to follow behind it and claim objectives.

I scooped up an old GorkaMorka trukk on ebay. I was going to give it four legs, but two seemed like enough. Could a walker Battlewagon be next?
