but this squad can "screen" my assualt squads possibly in the future. They also have close combat value so i can bum rush enemy heavy weapon squads forcing then to fall back on first or second turn( depending on order) or be assualted.

I still think the attack bikes are better.

I find running heavy bike RW is just asking to get kicked in the teeth. Bikes jsut dont have the staying power.

Massed shooting probably. If they don't turbo boost they are the favorite target of lascannons and missile launchers who will easily earn their points back by popping 30+ point models 4 times each during a game. Even if they do turbo boost it's still only a 3+ save, so massed bolter fire whittles them down. And you don't have enough models to win assaults against a large or powerful unit.

It's not just that they die easily, for 200+ points what do you really get out of them?

Next to nothing, a few shots and then a loss of 200 points. They just aren't economic like the attack bikes are.

Alas, it is regardless now. The Dragons are getting shelved and i am switching to fantasy for a while(likely a long while).
