| In your guy's opinions, which is better a spray-paint undercoat or a hand-done undercoat? Just wanted to know, 'cause I'm thinking of doing some hand-done undercoats. | |

| alright the master is here!!! (joking) i personally prefer spray not b/c of the thiness but b/c of the speed. now if you want a good smooth hand painted black primer i sugjest black gesso which is sold at art stores. now it needs to be gesso. gesso is basically a primer for canvas's for paintings and it usually comes in white but you can find black. i found mine at hobby lobby in a large amoutn for like 11 bucks. it works great. i would use it all the time if it wasn't so slow to brush it on. hope this helped. | |

| I do a combo, give it a quick spray (don't spray too much, it will gunk up details) then I go in by hand with some thinned out chaos black and hit any areas missed by the spray. | |
