Power fists, as always.

I like flamers, plasma guns are just a bit risky on such an expensive model imo. Meltas work alright too.

Tele homers on the vets too.

Why powerfists? Bike squads don't really have that many ablative wounds, so the powerfist is less "hidden."

power weapons. also, if you have termies too, give someone a telaport homer. a strong bike squad with termies latter on is totally kick ass.

In my experience a power fist is just plain better on an I5 model than a power weapon.

A power fist doesn't HAVE to have ablative wounds to be useful. Power weapons are just pretty useless unless on a character. Even on the charge they only average one wound against MEQ armies.

I'm not saying it has to have ablative wounds, it just has a better chance of surviving until it hits in cc if it has some ablative wounds, which a bike squad has 4 at most (5 for Ravenwing that chose not to combat squad).

Yup, and in my experience a power fist is still the best option.

The one squad I have with the power weapon always under performs. The power fist is almost more important in this kind of unit, which has to hit hard before it gets overwhelmed. A power weapon should only really be equipped to a character imo.

I normaly just take a 3 man bike squad and load it with 2 plasma guns and set it loose when I used to take bikes.....they tended to do well if they got their shots off problem was they didnt seem to live long enough to fire much

People never did like your bikes did they Bruce. On the topic of bikes, my scouts w/ sniper rifles just love popping some tires.
