| All,
I'm gonna be running a weekly open rpg for WH40K Dark Heresy beginning Feb 3rd from 1pm til 5pm.
This is open to newbies and experienced and is a come and go as you please game.
To start I'll be running the "Shattered Hope" and "Edge of Darkness" adventures off the Black Industries web site, followed shortly by the adventure in the GMs Kit.
After that the you all can quake in fear as I run stuff of my own devising.
If you have any questions call/come in to Sci-Fi City and let me know.
Thanks,
Eric at Sci-Fi City |

| That sounds really cool. Would jump on this but with church I am lucky to get anywhere by 2pm on Sundays. If showing up late is okay I should be able to show up next week. |

| As I understand it the game has been starting 1:30pm or later mainly from people's arrival time. Personally I am lining things up right now to be getting there 1pm-ish myself. Rolled up a Guardsman last week and other than a low roll on wounds and cash I think Eric's dice are broken. Using greenstuff and 'guard bits from four sprues, a space marine scope, and an old Necrmunda stub pistol this guy looks pretty sweet. Might have forgotten how to pain tho', he is looking a little too much like a coloring book paint job, grrrrr. |

| The Dark Hersey game currently will be played every week until the Cthulu chick gets her plans together. THEN we will play every other week.
Had 9 people this last Sunday. Being an open game I suspect the number is going to vary a whole lot. |

| How is Eric handling the game being open from an RP standpoint? _________________ Dark Angels 1750 win/loss Record Win - 23 (Belial helped wreck Ryan's puny Eldar) Loss - 13 (Brice's Necrons wiped me) Draw - 2 (The 13th hold out in alpha take and hold)

| Multiple pre-generated characters.
Don't know what or if there are actual restrictions on making up a new character. I did mine after just watching a game.
People who join up later get nothing extra, I can speak from my own unfortunate experience on that. Although Eric has done contingency plans when it comes to combat so that the op-force can be scaled. |

| Actually the in and out aspect of Dark Heresy is easy to handle. At the moment the party of whoever is cleaning out a Black Templar stronghold, to give our tactical ops/investigation team/w/e you want to call it a base of ops. Its a great system and worht checking out. Besides its been so far so good really, noones died yet....yet |

| I have the book and I am not saying it can't be done with the way the rules are, I'm just not too into drop in/out games normally, hence my interest in seeing how Eric is running it. Not sure what about Dark Heresy makes it easier to handle in/out gameplay though. It all still depends on how the game is being run. | Quote: | | cleaning out a Black Templar stronghold |
We won't even go into how wrong this is Hopefully the Black Templar have no idea an Inquisition retinue isn't snooping around in one of their strongholds (of which they barely have any, being a fleet based chapter). _________________ Dark Angels 1750 win/loss Record Win - 23 (Belial helped wreck Ryan's puny Eldar) Loss - 13 (Brice's Necrons wiped me) Draw - 2 (The 13th hold out in alpha take and hold)
