Ideas for 1750 point tournament

Bruce: I'm gonna go ahead and say painting wont be needed (we will have like 4 people there).

Perhaps a players choice could go to best completely painted army

WYSIWYG will definitely be in effect as in all tournaments.

I'm still on the side that painting should not be required. Not 100% opposed to the other side of the coin though, but I bet a lot of people will just give up now (we will also need to advertise pronto if we go this route).

Hmm guessint everything has to be represented(means Ill have to add my closecombat arms that i can seem to find enough of for my space wolves fun) also the painting idea is good, after I finish painting my skaven my next project is going to be my space wolves, also the trournament should maybe have a theme of some kind, just a thought but it would add to the tourny

Why not use the GT scenarios available on the GW website? just take a few out.
I have an 8x4 board that can be used.
I can do weekends and I can help supply terrain if need be.
Also it would be nice if we had a painting competetion but I wouldn't want to limit the armies to only fully panted armies... I'd be sunk.
I Have armies others can use if they need.
I like to have descent prize packs for 1st 2nd and 3rd place.
Make it enough money to keep people interested but not enough to break the bank.

Yup, whoever hosts will have to help us decide on the entry fee.

We can use the GT packs. But collecting a bunch of missions and then randomizing each round will prevent people from gearing toward the missions (like they could if they knew what was coming).

i agree with the paint contest and the idea of not fully painted armies

Wow I really opened the flood gates I haven't seen this much activity on here so quickly.

My cities of death terrain will be coming in tomorrow and I have a couple of tubs full of terrain.

I'm just glad people are being pushed for a more competitve circuit. I'll stay close to my fluffy stuff though.

the theme shouldn't be anything like Armageddon or apocalypse maybe more circled around a different race then humans...(like orks) lol

Maybe it should be themed around taking one of the more well-known but not-represented species worlds. Like the Hruud.

Who knows? Read some fluff, they talk about the Hruud especially in books that center around the eastern part of the galaxy.

Tournament won't be for a while, and by then Cal will hopefully have everything he needs.
