| What do you guys think about the rumors for the new Chaos codex?
Do you think it will be an improvement, or will it be 'nerfed' like the Dark Angels codex?

| If you look at the DA codex without comparing it to Codex SMs, then the DA codex is well done.
Codex SMs will get its soon enough.
Having read the new Chaos Codex, I am quite pleased.

| I second Marc, having read it I like it quite a lot.
Releasing the restrictions on the 'pure' legion armies was a good idea. Even if it does makes a lot of peoples lists invalid (read, not as good as they could be).
Legion players will be pissed, the nightlords, iron warriors, etc are all long gone.
Some things got pretty expensive (10 plague marines in a rhino anyone?). While other things got insanely cheap (10 chaos terminators anyone?).
I think it was less of a nerf than marines have, or at least will have, when they are brought in line with the DA/BA books.
I'd rate it around an 7.5/10

| Indeed. Some of us were able to bail on our Legion armies in time Poor guy who bought my Basilisk.. Having said that, all but the Alpha Legion (cultist/infiltration heavy) are still playable. Nightlords (cheap Raptors) Iron Warriors (multiple Vidicators) and Word Bearers (non slot Daemons) are quite competative. Quirky bonus rules (such as the 4 Heavy slots for IW) are balanced out by reducing restrictions (such as IWs may now take Daemons) Still, there will be abuses. The Obliterator choice is no longer limited to [0-1] and some bits of wargear are quite good. Thousand Sons players are happy (at least, there will be 1k players now ) | |

| Yeah, I'm still sad that the legions are all but dead now. True you can mash them together. But at the end of the day as an Iron Warriors player for example... you are just playing silver Undivided.
I think it's a good thing overall though.
I'm looking forward to seeing multi-legion armies now.

| I wouldn't put too much faith in them. GW is making a step away from this from what I have seen. The simpler the better seems to be their new motto.
Plus like Marc said, you can kinda create them with the new codex. No need to add an extra 25-30 pages to the book.
