Actually he didn't die he just ascended to the gods along with Elminster, the rest of the world just wouldn't understand

Hahahaha, I can't believe I haven't seen more comments like that one. Ohwell, back to mourning (we are funny/horrible).

Gygax probably just gave up on living after the news of 4th ed was coming out. Just took him this long to go...
