| I'll be interested to see the Space Marine and Ork lists that did well. I'm guessing the Nids, Tau and Eldar lists are pretty familiar | |

| Tau Empire list, though I'm not sure about all the fancy XV8s names. I think Fire Knife is the Plasma/Missle combo. I'm not digging out my old WD where these were covered as I'm sure someone knows and shall enlighten us. We share the same feeling towards Fire Warriors - Quote :
- 2 Crisis Commanders
4 steaths and 4 gun drones 3 fire knifes 3 dethrains (1 flamer) 2 piranahs (fusion) 6 fire warrors (no warfishs) 20 kroot ionhead 2 railheads

| Fireknife are plasma & missle pod. Not sure about the Deathrains, but I believe they are twin linked missled pods.
Looks like he didnt have to play Necrons, but after the third round thats a possibility. I really think he got some good draws to place that high. A single Space marine libby can destroy a Tau army. Or maybe just bad genrals, I dont know. I do know that Tau are a teir 2 army at best. The rest looks pretty reasonable.

| yeah man mech tau can be scary as hell. i have only faced them once.. but he was a really good player and ripped my stuff apart. though he was the guy who thought his suits could jump out of combat. or is that a special rule that comes with them? seperate topic, but i gotta know.
anyways.. mech tau are sick.

| There is an upgrade to tau suits that lets them jump out of combat, but I think it might only be available to their HQ suits? I'd have to check. | |

| The only type of Tau I havent played a lot are the crisis heavy like CJs. Other than that maybe the fact most of my games where with Necrons, Black Templars, or Space Wolves.
I dont think it can win constently(sp) against Eldar, Nidzilla, and Necrons. Generates to many bad match ups to feel good about it in a tournament field.
But if anyone with a Tau army wants to prove me wrong....

| CJ is also a bad example.
Marc: Why did you ever sell that Tau army? We didn't bitch about it that much did we?

| Haha.
We may be talking it up a lot.
It's basically a mech Tau army, but played better than CJ plays it.

| haha I dunno Matt. I'm almost as bad as CJ when it comes to armies (tho I do paint them ) After that final tourney match against Dennis where he was wiped out after turn 3 I knew it was time to move on. First Iron Warriors, then Tau and now I've fallen into Scouting Bikes for 5th tho I really like how they are turning out. - Steve wrote:

I guess *shrug* but I'd rather get a game with my bikes if I get free time. Now if you're able to play weekday a.m. then thats a different mix. We would be able to roll up a mission and get in 1750 in 2 hours easy. Lemme know.
