| What constitutes a heavy close combat weapon? What is the difference between a 2handed close combat weapon and a heavy weapon... if any? because the ork Big Choppa says it's a 2 handed close combat weapon. I cannot find a reference for a 2 handed CC weapon. I know the Ork codex gives it a +2 S but is that it? And as stupid as it sounds it doeasn't say that you can't have additional cc weapons. I have been playing with some common sense and only using that weapon in CC. But if it counts as a heavy weapon that would rock... | |

| Nothing counts as a "Heavy Close Combat Weapon" anymore. It used to be ork choppas and khorne chain axes, but they have basically gotten rid of it as a category because it was weird to have something that was awesome against terminators and useless against carapace armor. | |

| In most codexes it says "x character may have one double-handed weapon and one single-handed weapon, or two single-handed weapons, etc." But you only get the +1 attack in cc if you have two single-handed weapons. So your Nob could have a slugga and a 'Uge Choppa, but he wouldn't get the +1 attack in cc. | |
