Thursday March 27th at Scifi City. WFB other games possible.

As in this upcoming Thursday at Scifi City. The last get together was good and most of if not all of us who were there last week will be there again. 3pm. I've gotten that day cleared so showing up earlier is possible.

This time I would like to at least be started on deployment no later than 3:30pm. That should give us time to get to a point where we can call it one way or another.

If everyone has pre-made lists that shouldn't be an issue. Just need to set up my printer so that I'm not stuck with the laptop.

What size armys for Warhammer Fantasy are being played? I can make it, if I have a pre-determined list count. Im to much of a newbie to crank out a list in 10 min.

lol well the simple way to do it is write up a list at 1k, 1500, and 2k that will cover most possible point vaules(and maybe a 2.5k and a 3k)

No matter how many games at so many stores other than in a campaign or a pre-arranged mega-battle I have never known what point total to have. Only that with Warhammer Fantasy it's just good to have a bunch at different point values.

We can meet up earlier. Even get in a 1k game or something. How does your Thursday look Brian?

If you want to chat over vampire lists face-to-face is generally the best way to do it. Post and PM work too. Just not as well.

I swung by the game store today, and I was told a story about last thursdays game day. 3:00 START-UP, and nothing happend untill 6:30-7:00pm.

Not to sound like a nit pik, but if you all want this game night to last more than a week, somone needs to step up, and regulate. Organize the game a week or so in advance. Points, size table ect.

that was not the problem, the problme was writing a list up, by haveing a premade list even on a new codex(Id pbly wright it up the day I get a new codex to see what I need if nothing else) By doing this is makes things go 10 times fater(or 100 in some cases)

There was no certainty that people were even going to make it. Luckily some of the people who were there were regulars at WoHaG. So my pessimistic side is a bit relieved.

Don't try to get too clear a picture from the those working behind the registers at Scifi City. Knowing what's gong on with tabletop miniatures is far different than rpgs. Besides it's been while since being able to talk hobby with Jim. That guy is sharp on WFB.

So I need 1000, 1,500, 2000, 2500, pre-made list ready for play?

How about terrain for fantasy based play. Do we need to bring any of our own.?

What size battle fields do you all play on. based on 2000 points?

Normally 8'x4' with little terrain. Fantasy is like that. You can bring stuff if you want Brian. I normally bring a box too. Technically the store has enough.

I plan to be there by 3:00pm'ish depending on when I can drag myself out of the house and get Jim going when I get to his. I doubt I will be much later than 3:15pm and will be ready by 3:30pm no matter. What armies are people bringing? I might play a different army this time, maybe Brets or Orgres.

I think I should be able to make a 1500 - 2000 AP list. With what Ive got, It would be better at 1500.

what army was the question, not what game, and in general proxying is allowed as long as it is basicly the same size(only have to proxy 3 things now go me)

Im playing the Dwarfs myself. I havent had a chance to get the VC built just the way I want.

Im backing out on my thursday Fantasy Game. Im going to use my Game day for this saturday. FFG is Touring thru Cincinnati, Demoing AT-43 and Confrontation, and a few other, which Im eager to see.

Im trying to get a message to the guys coming in for the Demos. Im looking for a 2000 point game, against a company man. I wanna see what they got.

Well I'll be at the store before 3pm like last time. Now sure how much earlier. Have some lists more or less figured out.

Have this odd feeling that with the five man ranks or maybe the vampire heroes being so point heavy that I'm barely comfortable with 2k forces now. This army really has changed.


Brian getting in some AT-43 does sound good. Confrontation sucks now, crappy dead game. Probably should see about getting in either Dogs or some 3.5 sometime.

I will have my meager wood elf force. I had intended to by some more, but for now most of my disposable income is tied up. Someone should bring settlers in case fantasy starts late or ends early.

As for Confrontation sucking, Have you played The Ages Of The RagNarok yet?

A dead game, I doubt it. I know of 2 games weekly being played, locally, and Thursday-Sunday games In Kettering. As well as a Ages of the RagNarok League Starting next weeek, lasting 6 weeks.....

I also see a Company traveling the USA in a bus Demoing Confrontation and AT-43. I think that shows major support for a game.

Throwing money down on big advertising blitz isn't anything new. I won't hold my breath.

With the new Confrontation they are basically trying to directly compete with WFB with ranked units and a less experienced rules set. About the only way it has any chance is if people want to buy crappy (grossly overpriced) models (in large groups) with paint jobs so horrible they make baby Jesus cry.

Mutant Chronicals... did Final Fantasy Flight pick them up? If those rules are getting dusted off this has promise. It's common name was Warzone. Although last I heard was the game planned on turning that into a prepackaged game like Mage Knight. Which is sad for a game with the best mechanics of any table top wargame.
