| I am sure there is at least one person with this same problem. I get so involved in painting that I don't realize my posture until it's too late. I spent 4 hours on Friday and Saturday fully painting 2 sisters and just painting the armor and robes on the rest. My back is hurting a bit today. Anyone found any techniques to eliminate the back pain when painting? _________________

| Its really a matter of watching how you paint. Paint with a surface slightly higher then you would normally do and that will restrict how much you hunch over to paint. Thats my only real advice. _________________ TAU 1750 ARMY Wins - 2 Chaos melts under the Tau Empire Guns Losses - 4 Damn Orks and Matt Draws - 1 with the green skins again

| Sit back. bring the work to your eyes. Don't bring yourself to the work.
Magnification can assist. Althought I don't use it as often as I should. _________________

| I stand for the most part. Only when it comes to details do I settle in. It has given me an increased reaction time in responding to small explosions throughout the house. _________________ 2nd place is the 1st loser

| Ibuprofen works for me. I've painted in such a odd position for so many years its become a habit and now I can't hardly paint any other way, so pick a postion thats comfortable and stay with it even its a little more difficult at first, eventually it will become the norm and Ibuprofen won't have to be your best friend too.

| As already said, good back support or posture if you're diciplined enough.
My issues are the hands. They aren't normally so steady so I often clamp my lower palms or wrists together for bracing. It gets... tiring. Eventually sloppy too. |

I think I am going to stick with Ibuprofren because if I took even one shot I wouldn't be able to paint which would defeat the purpose! _________________

| | I cured that by sitting on the floor with my back against my couch and painting on my coffee table. The tables pretty big so my army, paints and OTT-Light easily fit there. But then I can prop my hands or elbow up on the table and relax while I paint. I haven't had problems with my back or shaking since I started painting this way. |
