| Just wondering, what kind of metal are the GW miniatures made of? My girlfriend and I were discussing this tonight.

| Back about 15 years ago or so all metal models were still made from lead, plastics were around but they wasn't very good. after several law suites in the states they began making models out of some kind of mix of pewter, nickel, misc pot metal. I can remember looking at the metal models and seeing 2 or 3 different colors in them(now I'm showing my age  ). The lead models were great to work with, they could be cut, filed, trimmed up so much easier because lead is so soft. I not sure what they are made of now. |
