Today I was out shooting a rifle in my back yard and I had my head to close to the scope. The recoil put a good size gash right in between my eyes (and I have a graduation to go to in 2 days Sad Sad ). Lots of blood but it really didn't hurt all that much scratch

ouch, sorry to hear that. if it makes you feel any better the same thing happened to me years ago with a crossbow. I still have a scar over my eye from it.

SOLDIER why was the butt of the rifle not properly mounted against your shoulder! Bleeding is for the enemy! Do you want to be peeling spuds while marching and chanting cadences for the rest of your life!

But seriously, ouch. If any asks just tell them you got into a fight defending a friend, family, or another loved one.

Once fired a sawed off breach loading shotgun. Used both hands but the barrel release was some sort of vertical lever that stuck up almost like a rear iron sight. Ended up bruising the heck out of the webbing betwen my thumb and pointing finger. Talk about the dumbest modification someone can make to a shotgun.

I just realized my scar is close to were Char Anzable had his. You can call me the Red Comet now.
