PostSubject: Vassal 40K FAQ   Sat Dec 20, 2008 9:07 pm

Here I will post any questions I may find and myself and others will try to answer them to the best of our abilities.

Quote:
I was able to download the module and such, open up a room and yet unable to find a game to observe.

1. When you first open up Vassal you hit the "Play Module" button.
2. Opens up the folder where you put your 40K module (File Name: V40k_V5-1)
3. Select and hit Open.
4. Click "Look for a game online, and hit Finished.
5. Should open up your Vassal interface. Select a Room and double click to join.
6. Join as Observer
7. Right Click on someone in the room and click on Synchronize.
8. When MAP button lights up just click and enjoy.

You could, but you could always just set up an offline game and do that, as well.

I have played a few games by myself just to get to know the game and learn to manipulate the pieces.

I also use it to set up situations that may apply in a game to see if one unit is better in a situation than another. (ex. Squad of 10 banshee or 6 harlies @ sq. of 10 Sp Marines) I do with eldar charging then with marines charging do it a couple times cause its quick with the dice rollers and then check the results of who killed more or who lost more.

Think Marc and I are getting a game in tomorrow (28th), not sure what time will keep you guys posted if anyone wants to watch.
