Hee, hee, hee. At the very least I am intrigued the epic environment of the game. Other than the required shooting option the game has complicated and realistic markets. Throw a skill based system using time to train other than just killing or selling stuff and this game has potential. Strongly thinking about trying out the 14 day free trial.

We might have already lost Rob to it, sort-a. He is leaving for college this summer.

Besides I do love spacy stuff and this game has multiple star systems.

Been reading up on it with google searches. Saw some good, bad, ugly, and pretty-pretty things. If anyone else has any thoughts, opinions, or just info I would very much like to read them.

I played it for a while, I enjoyed it... little too slow for my tastes.

Good game though.

The game is pretty cool especially when you have a guild to work with. I've played it in the past and know people who currently do. I would recommend checking it out at least for the trial period.

a guild is absolutely essential, you can get picked up pretty easily once you build up a bit though.

but again, guilding is essential in this game. It's pretty unforgiving for the longer!

My 14 day trial is now a 13 day as the update takes place. Bwwaarrrg.

Matt I can totally see what you mean about the game pace being slow. In those structured games it is easy to make contact fast and do things up.

The learning curve is killer too. They have a great system for multiple paths for the same interface/action. It just doesn't help when they use a termonology to explain that I have no what it is.

But the game is so cool. Training skills over set levels, sweet. The RPGs with experience points over levels was always a niffy idea. Never suspected how nicely it would come together in a video game. Although it probably wouldn't have hurt them to award extra skill points for the use of skills in game instead of relying completely on training.

Less than six hours in the game and already have a clan/guild/corp invite. Still vetting them first.

my only problem with a game like that is that is costs, I refuse to play any game that you have to pay a monthly fee to play(or in general a one time fee unless I know that game is very very good) yes that includes normal video games for those who are wondering Razz

Yeah bob is correct, the learning curve is pretty killer. Forgot to mention that part.

The play servor, not the test. It's called Trinity... maybe?

Glad to see you stop by Rob while they are doing that 24 hour update. Currently in Caldari space (Lonecreek or Lonetrek cluster) near the School of Applied Knowledge, the pilot's first name is Ewing.

The corp invite was for Grindhouse Ore if the name rings any bells.

You don't have to pay a monthly fee in EVE if you are a skilled pilot. You can purchase 30-day game time cards in game with ISK (in game currency) and it is sanctioned by the devs and totally legal in game.
