PS3 or 360

So I have a PS3, should I even consider a 360? Looking for opinions

That depends. The 360 (IMO) has the better games. Now, that may change with time, but overall, it has the games that appeal to a much larger range of people than the PS3. Mass Effect, Halo 3 are just two of the games that I love that are only on the 360. Also, it's great to be able to track friends progress with games, through the achievement functionality, which adds some to the experience. Matter of fact, a few of my friends and I have a Guitar Hero II and III (with 790 in II and 255 in III, respectively), and that adds the competitiveness to the games that the PS3 doesnt have at the moment. But, it all comes down to whether you like the games the Xbox has to offer. Take a look at their catalog and see if the games would appeal to you, and make your decision off of that.

I'd say 360 now, and then perhaps PS3 in a year and a bit.

PS3 is hurting for a really good exclusives. PSN is also still no where near Xbox Love, even if it is free.

K imma consider a 360. I just hate the way they nickel and dime you with the machine. I mean really...100 bux for a wireless adapter. then there are controllers, xbox live sub. thats been my big turn away, that and the fact that i have heard tons of horror stories about the red light of death

Yeah, consider waiting a few months... the new machines with the heat sinks should be in the retail channel by then.

They do give anyone with the red ring of death a free xbox along with free shipping and everything. Their way of making up for all of the screw ups.

Well, I received the red ring of death once. Not fun, but the thing is, when I sent it in about 5 months ago for repair, it had the new heat sinks in it, so I haven't had any issues since then! Smile

You look at it, though, and it's a great gaming system, and it's cheaper than buying a gaming PC (which is what I used to do). They do have some third party controllers, so you can pay a little less on those... But, it's all a tradeoff, I guess. I mean, up until recently, the PS3's price would give you the 360, a year of Live, an extra controller, and maybe a game (if you got the premium and not the Elite).

Ever since Sega went by the wayside I moved into Playstation systems. Generally happy with their approach.

Although my buddy has a 360 and let's me bum time on it. So networked with good people on that system even though I do not care much for Mircosoft.

Basically what I need to do is rob a bank and get a PS3 and X-Box 360.

i would say 360 just for the sake of having a lot of good games. the ps3 may get better games in the future, but for now, 360 takes the crown.

if you decide to get a ps3, just get elder scrolls IV: oblivion. that will keep you entertained until other games come out. lol

yup, with a slightly worse frame rate.

The cell processor is a double edged sword indeed.
