| yeah, a very different kind of experience.
I am so much better for leaving mmo's behind. You can kiss goodbye to any freetime if you want to actually move ahead in an mmo.

| Funny JT but I dont seem to have mentioned that for a month or 2. I have no problem paying for games(I spend plenty on table top ones) but I am just not willing to pay for a online game when I can play a free one that is almost if not as good as the one that costs montly or play a game like warhammer which I can get a lot more out of and have something for it(the models I pay for).

| I am in the beta and I have a lvl 70 in WoW and several other toons 50 and above on several servers. All games are simular. When WoW came out, they said it was just Like EQ, EQ was a lot like UO, etc.. It is fantasy, it is hard to avoid simularities. That said, I will most likely cancel my pre-order only because I am not big on PvP. I will admit, WAR is doing it better than any other game I ever played, (including their first game DAoC).
In one sense, they are bringing versatility to MMO characters that hasn't been seen, but most of it is in the background so most people won't notice it. The Hardcore PvP/RvR'rs will though. Just like WoW, you can go up any of 3 trees and you get race specific abilities. Unlike WoW, you can gain abilities through RvR and they added in slotted tactics. suffice it to say that if you like PvP, this game is a must, if you don't, play something else. |

That is funny.... and true too. Getting less done on everything with Eve taking up time now. But I suspected that going in.
As a big fan of WFB getting into their online game would have been at least worth a try. Was liking the mindset and knowing the fluff would have made the transition less complicated. |
