| I'm going to second Jon's sentimonies: I wasn't dead last either!! one of the few nice things yesterday (except for a GREAT set of guys to play up against!... ). Matter of fact, I:
- Didn't win one match
- Didn't win any door prizes
- Went home and played some online Halo - Lost 6 straight games before quitting for the day
- Asked someone out that I had known for a few months and got denied since she has been seeing someone for a year now
I can't complain, though, I did really enjoy myself playing, and I did do better than I had expected with where I placed.... But, that kind of day really makes one feel like a loser!!Ok, not going to feel sorry for myself... You can ignore the rant above I had a great time yesterday.... period.

| Whether you were first or last you all did really well. I was a spectator and was very impressed that there weren't any arguments or outbursts. Everyone was super nice and was very open to answering questions non-40k players had. I can't wait for the next one. Who knows I may even have an army by then. ) | |

| I will also be posting this in the 40K general dicussion forums.
I want to thank Makari and his group for hosting the tournament, and the Cincinnati 40K gamers for having us. You did a terrific job, and we look forward to coming down next year!
I, Kevin Kirby, am the chapter master of the Flying Hellfish 40K club. I'm sure everyone saw us at the event with the shirts and all. We are an informal 40K gaming club, whose primary focus is 40K competitive play.
We got started this past fall to prepare for Adepticon 2008 in Chicago. Adepticon is a three day event for all GW games, but the primary draw is 40K, and the primary tournament is the 40K National Team Tournament. This tourney is a four man, four round event, where you team up with one of your three partners each round and play against another team. It's hands down the most fun I've ever had playing 40K.
The trick of course is getting four players together to commit and pony up the cash to go. This year was my fourth year going, but thanks to some advance prep work, we took three teams instead of one. I made some new friends with a common purpose and it was the best time yet.
Adepticon was our first planetfall, and the cag tourney our second. I would like to see more tournaments in the tri state area, and hosting or attending as many as possible. I would like to extend an invitation to any of the folks we met, or any of their friends who have a passion for the game, to join the Hellfish. You don't need a winning record, or to have played for years, just an enthusiastic attitude.
Anyone interested can send me an email or some contact info, and we'll get some info back to you about our yahoo page and group email list.

| Ok guys im starting to get annoyed with all of the I didnt come in last comments. If you really feel the need to point out the fact try sayin I came in 28 or something. IMO its just bad sportsmanship. I think its even worse than glotting over a win because often enough the lower place finishers need to be encouraged to keep playing. I'm just saying guys to take into account how its makes others feel, and how would you feel reading that if you did come in last?
Anyways Congrats Ryan! Good job man. | |

| ok steve Im pointing it out becouse of the ard boys tourney, yea Im still a little annoyed that becouse of a odd number of players cJ and nathan beat me due to them getting free massacres...... While this is slightly bad sportsmanship, the people who I am teasing about this are just as good sports about it as I am CJ enjoys bugging people, so he can get bugged himself. Oh and yea I added the everything after the ....... about a minute after I posted the 1st part | |

| bruce get over it!!! first off it makes people feel bad comming in last so there is no need to talk about it in the first place. second winning isnt everything. third you had a free ride in the tourny anyway so you shouldn't care how you did. so don't gloat about not comming in last and just because cj gives you crap doesnt mean you need to get back at him and in the process hurt others feelings. be the bigger man bruce and come off of it. | |

| Danny you missed my point, I dont care were I ended up, but this does prove my list is competive, just need a few tweaks , and also get used to people being sarcastic online, yea Im sarcastic every day no matter what I am doing, it is who I am, yea congrats to the winners, and the losers, I lose 2 games and tied the last but I learned more off of that than I would have if I had won. Also not everyone feels bad about comeing in last, If I did I woudlnt be playing warhammer/40k anymore with my 0 and 20ish loses I have with my skaven and all(and my terrible space wolf record and all) | |

| Yea I remember when I started playing in tournaments and was getting my last place finishes and its just not cool to hear others saying "HEY I didnt come in last" like you actually did something by not coming in last? It my not be direct insults towards be but its still just not cool. And if all this is just between CJ and Bruce you can take it to a Private Message. | |

| steve, thee reason I said it was to bug CJ and nathan, and no I can take it to a pm it loses all the sarcasm that way, but hey thats fine Ill drop it didnt mean to offend anyone, but steve I have come in last and I didnt care(funny enough 2 loses 1 tie..........just bigger loses) I still dont care that the only reason Im not in last was due to the fact I managed to hold my own a bit more by ending up aganist friendlyer lists( that nurgle one just hurt that was painful for a fight) . I got lucky I didnt face Matt, you, ryan, or the top peoples, The toughest list I fought I though was the space wolf list who even though got messed up due to escaltion and all my stuff comeing in on turn 2 still managed a massacre aganist me, and did I complain? nope not once just said Id like to win a game but well ended up tieing which Ill happily take(bottom 3 tables all tied or something like that) | |

| Bah with this talk! I didn't play smart except against Matt or Wayne (too distracted, 1st and last fight), but I played smart (or tried to) against Jeremy (I hate bugs). All I care is the learning experience (i.e. Guardian squads are scarier than they should be, Monstrous Creatures are evil and need to be knocked under scoring strength, and don't deep strike terminators off table against a castled army) | |
