| I the core rule books for both Hordes and Warmachine. I sold them when I decided to get into 40k. My gf has enough issues with me playing 2 miniatures games (40k as well as Flames of War) ... she would never understand a 3rd.
I do like that they organized the phases of the turns differently. I am hardcore ADD and will often start shooting before I finish my movement phase. With the activation of each piece you do all of its actions before moving on to the next. I think I would do better with that form of play.

| I own the old rules, and the starter boxes for Mercs and Kador. It was fun but since I don't work well with green stuff, I had trouble with the models and lost interest before Hordes came out. | |

| I've got a small warband of Skorne. If you pick some up, I'd be willing to play sometime. It's a fun game to play with the smaller sizes. | |

| 100% yes. That's, in my opinion, the nice thing about Warmachine: You can play nice, small, competetive games without having to buy a ton of metal.
I mean, if I want a big, epic battle, I'm going 40k all the way. I suppose the best analogy to make would be that Warmachine is similar-ish to Necromunda or Mordheim, in that you're operating with much smaller warbands that are, in general, more specialized.

| 500 points is, afterall, the normal league level of game (and not many models at all.)
I just bought a 500 point-ish force of Khador. I'll be looking for people to play when I get back.

| The WARMACHINE & HORDES players here like to play about the same as well. I like the battlegroup boxes. It's running around 350 - 400, depending on different Warlocks you run. What a great game though. Very punchy. A new player like myself, gets his own ass handed to him on a plate most of the time. A new player should be prepared to be brutally beaten beyond submission. That's what throwing down is all about. I just wish I would've found this game a long time ago. I love the company support PP brings to the table. It's well laid out. Later. | |

| All I got to say is "Page 5"
That was all it took for me to check out the game. If you dont know what I'm talking about pick up any of the rules books and check out "Page 5". Heck reach each version since they all differ in wording though the message is the same.

| I have eVlad almost finished, 6 IFP's about half done and one mortar unit has had basecoats applied.
Then 6 more IFP's, my drakhun and my manhunter left to build and paint.

| Just to put it out there - there is a pretty large group of guys that play every wednesday night at yottaquest. I have only been here seven weeks and we have already aquired five new players. The group is growing steadily and the owners are pretty enthusiastic about it as well. If anyone is interested in this game just let me know, I have three huge armies that are open for use at pretty much any time I am around. | |

Its one of the many I have tried out. I have a little bit of warmachine and i had picked up the starter for Skorne and an second titan. I had played a few games but was playing to many other things ot dive into it. That being said, we used to have 10 or more players regularly playing during our club nights. Since you really only needed a 4x4 board we were able to get many more players in our area and since it can be brutally fast you get a lot of cool games in as well.
