| This is some insane crap I came up with. All of the Sternguard are scoring units because of Pedro. All the melta weapons (count them, 22) get twin-linked from Vulkan. There are 35 points left over here to give some sergeants some gear maybe. I won't actually be playing this list, but maybe somebody else will. The terminators are optional. You could use something else instead. More meltas would be better. HQ 175 Pedro 190 Vulkan TROOPS 220 Tactical, missile launcher, meltagun, Rhino 220 Tactical, missile launcher, meltagun, Rhino ELITES 335 Sternguard Veterans x 10, 8 x combi-melta, 2 x meltagun, Rhino or Drop Pod 335 Sternguard Veterans x 10, 8 x combi-melta, 2 x meltagun, Rhino or Drop Pod 240 Terminators x 6, thunder hammers and storm shields, lightning claws 1715 | |

| Chapter Tactics only counts for one of them, not both. | |

| I'd go with Vulkan, lose the Terminators and throw in another two Tac squads. The Sternguard won't score, but they'll still be beastly. | |

| I played a Vulkan list yesterday that I'm quite happy with. It needs some tweaking, and I've discovered there may be a few units I want to drop in pods, but I like it.
It was my first time against a Space Wolves army and it was a really competitive game.

| I thought with Pedro it made the sternguard a scoring unit | |

| He does but if he drops Pedro from the list for the other guy then the sternguard won't be scoring units. | |

| The real way to do this list would be to use Lysander and Pedro together. That way, your Sternguard are scoring units AND you could attach Lysander to them to reroll to-hit rolls on their firing. Could be nasty.
In addition, you could put Lysander in a Termie unit, use them as sort of a meat shield for Pedro and his group, keep them within 12", and you'd get 3 Storm Bolter attacks for the termies that were all re-rollable.

| The problem is that Lysander has Terminator armor and so it would be difficult to transport him with the sternguard.
Also, do combi-meltas get to re-roll misses as well?
