| depends on your play style. I looked over the army list and they have some good options depending on what you want to do. Some of the named look very powerful, but very expensive, you would not be able to field as amny troops to support them. Skinks are cheap and make for mass army with lots of figs, but those stegies look awesome. | |

| I've played Lizzies for a while, and this is really the first time where you can be really really competetive without a Slann.
I can 100% see viable army lists that include VERY FEW rare or special choices. With the Saurus being so damned quick and tough, I think a Saurus Vet or Oldblood could make a very nice option as a hero.

| Big ass lizard on Dinosaur! That is if you like to kick ass! seriously though...I assume 2K worth of points. From my experience, a Slann is just too damn expensive for 2K...with temple guard and all that jazz. Half your army points will be ate up by it. Of course, It's all your play style. Honestly, I think dudes on Monstrous mounts are just too expensive for 2K. Units are what do the heavy lifting in fantasy...not over the top characters. I'd rather take a Lord and a BSB than a Lord on a Dragon/Dinosaur/whatever. Plus the re-roll leadership for Lizards is pretty bad ass! Of course, nothing is more important than using the models you like and the flavor that matches your play style. | |

| It depends on what kind of army you would like to play, skimishers who flee and blow pipe death, massive steggy bash, Spear wielding saurus, fling and firebreathing, the choice is yours. The army is pretty balanced, people looked for things to combo for power, gave up and went back to daemons. I'd go for the Slaan, simply because I'd call him the Hypno-Toad, or Sister-in-law. They have enough magic to shut down Daemons and vampire counts, and a hero with the sword of realities can off a bloodthirtser. | |

| Dave--
Mine has been assembled and ready to go for sometime. I'll see if I can find some free time, though it will be infinitely easier in about 2 weeks when school is out.

| A really good idea is to get a Slain and put him in with a big unit of Temple Guard, that unit is so hard to kill its not even funny and it pretty much kills anything in its path | |
