| Is it ok to substitute a mini from say warmachine in place of a warhammer mini if it fits the scale and is mounted on a warhammer base?
My thoughts on this is that VC doesn't have many choices for regular vampires but there are some cool minis out there that would make awesome Vampires!
Any thoughts? | |

| Yea wouldn't it make sense that a vampire could be any of the races in the Fantasy realm!
Isn't that what vampire lords do?
They choose who Dies or Lives for eternity to fight the vampire cause!
Do Vampire fight for a cause?
OK now I'm really thinking to deep into this!

| vampire fight for themselves or their leader, well all but the one blood line(starts with a n) they fight to turn everyone into the undead, and my theme for my VC is everything can become undead | |

| Yea! That's what I'm saying and a little creativity never hurt a fantasy game! | |

| What race do you want your vampire to be. I used a brettoinan model for one, and a tomb kings skeleton with tons of gribbins for another. I'm working on a vampire rinding a rotting treeman to use as an abyssal horror, because abyssal horrors have no models, it's completely fine in my book. | |

| Not really sure I was just pointing out that the vampire and Necro minis are kind of week in the cool department, unless you use lords which are very cool but still you have minimal choices | |

| couple more examples of what I have used is the bret mages(dont rember what they are called) im working on a spellsinger(may never be finished) and a old wood elf mage. Im useing the new dire wolf models(because I dislike them as a unit and I have their model) as mounts for some of my vampires. the only true vampire models I use for vampires is the lahmian vampires though the one Im still thinking about converting over to a darkelf here at some point, oh and the aristcratic vampire | |

| My VC skeletons are Bret M@A as they are fluffy and easier to piece/clean together than all them bones. Black Knights from Realm Knights, etc
You could mix in any of the GW line of models and muck them up as Undead.
[btw] I have found a ton of uses for that M@A kit. Quite top notch imho

People have been doing things like substitutions to conversions in the Cinci area for some time. You pretty much had it nailed by using the right kind of base. Painting and modeling after that is all cake. The only places I have ever seen it be an issue was inside the organizer or player tournement packs for offical Rogue Trader events and some independent events. Another line you might want to look at is the old metal Confrontation miniatures. They are of the highest quality. In the past during a big WFB Whag game I use two monster sized bases with the old skelletor and beastman figures for giants. One guy at the now closed Cincinati Scifi for a time was using legos for Necron. The oddest was a Country Time Lemonade can representing a Necron God. Oh boy did that can soak up the lascannon fire.
