So I know of Acme Games on Monday for 40k, what about on the weekend? Is there any place that is the focal point either on friday night, saturday day or night or sunday that you can go and pretty much know your going to run into some people looking for a 40k game?

There isn't any place like that right now, but there should be.
There are usually a few people playing 40k at Acme and Sci Fi on Saturdays. Yottaquest also has some stuff going on occassionally.

Yeah, there seems to be a shortage of drivers licenses and/or cars.
