| What armies are we all planning on doing? I know I'm trying Dark Elves, Ryan is going for Brets, John Lizardmen and Dwarves, and Marc I can't remember. So anyone else going to join and play or no? | |

| When I do eventually start an army I think I will do Brets, or perhaps Ogre kingdoms (I know quite different, haha). | |

| Malus Darkblade is sweet, the model is pretty meh, but oh well.
After thinking about it a bit more, I wouldn't mind doing Wood Elves.

| Yeah I figure that would let you roll Brets.
It's not like I will be going fantasy for a long while anyway. So much I still want to do in 40k.

| Problem with using Darkblade, you gotta be playing 2K pts or more (no Lord level characters up to that point). But once you let Tza'arken (or whatever the daemon's name is) take over Mallus, his stats become insanely good. | |

| Yea, I think Bruce meant he would choose them to run him in the future. | |

| The Dark Elf mini range is fantastic. One of the top 3 GW lines.
As mentioned in another thread, I have the following unused DEs. Characters and a Special slot..
Six Cold One Knights Sorceress [Cauldron Hag Queen mini] Highborn/Noble [AoW DE on foot]

| [cleaned up the thread to get rid of some back and forth between me and CJ-Matt]
I could add it up on my own, but does anyone have any idea how much an army (say 1500 points) of Wood Elves would cost?

| Probably about $150-200 depending on how good of deals you can swing through ebay and such. | |

| Brets are indeed cheap. The entire range is 90% plastic.
With very little work you can make the basic Knights of the Realm box into Knights Errant or Grail Knights (no bother with Questing Knights btw, only +1S) and even Characters. The stud Pagasus Knights are plastic as well.
Only real medal chuck is the Trebuchet.

| Oh, I also have some kind of high elf prince model that I don't need. I'll trade/sell it to anyone who decides to play high elves. | |

| Yeah I know you wouldn't... still nice to ask though.
Perhaps we could do very complimentary armies, and help each other work through building them up etc.
I know I will need to learn a lot as far as my painting skills are concerned, the freehand needed to pull off bret's in good fashion is tough.

| Different Brettonian armies are often competing lords. Their country isn't as unified as some of the others. Your armies could be from neighboring areas and be rivals in general but also band together for the sake of some grand quest for the lady of the lake. | |
