| Would be the best solution to appease both sides of the fence.
We would get advertisements from the stores, and the people who would like not to read them can just ignore it.

| I like it. Perhaps 2 sub sections. Product and Events (although where do you put a new release event?). |

| my suggestion for the board is this. We have the current main sections with their own subsections in this order.
Forum Stuff! General Warhammer 40k Warhammer Fantasy Warmachine / Hordes Card Games The Other Stuff Other Gaming
I suggest creating one specifically for retailers. "Local Game Store info" or something like that. For subsections I would only suggest two. One with current address, website and contact info for each store sorted alphabetically. The second subsection would be for general announcements like restocks or new products being added to inventory. I would Not create one for each store to advertise; the one section will work fine.

| I think one section would be fine. It allows them to announce in one area and its only a click away instead of two clicks. | |

I would. I tried it with the forum I ran in Alaska and it led to more drama than it was worth.

| The problems that occurred were brought to my attention by the retailers themselves. 95% of them either do not have the time or resources to update their own websites let alone a third party forum. The stores I worked with were far more satisfied providing a bit about themselves and their services on our link section and once in a while posting something to a single area. Like the subgroup I mentioned. There was interest in paying for advertising such as banner ads and such, but I left before that came together. Another nonprofit was able to manage it very successfully and I had many talks with him about his set up. I’ll have to see if I can come up with one of his contracts. One of the other big reasons why I wouldn’t add a section for each store is perception. Think of it this way, if the CAG had a section on another group’s board and there were only one or two posts it would give those individuals the impression that not much was going on here. Especially if there hadn’t been any recent posts. This is easily handled by using the setup I mentioned combined with a community calendar listing core events in the area. Those events are then linked to a topic on the forum which can be updated by the moderators. It also reduces the amount of unnecessary posts on the board. Our forum software would need to be update (which I think needs to happen anyway) and can be done without losing our content. | |

| The problem i can see with one section for all stores to advertise is that one store could bump their thread constantly with spam. Separate would be better, another reason for separate is that people can look at the stores they frequent rather than having to dig through a large number of posts. | |

| Hi Everybody ! I don't know why a store can't post a 40k league under the 40k heading! But if we want to say we have new 40k releases in maybe it should be in the sales area! no need for you guys to create a whole new area ! I just posted where I thought you would be looking for that info ! If you don't want to see what i post( because you don't like me) then don't click on my post ! You can never please all the people all the time, but you can please some of the people some of the time! | |

| My 2 cents.....
I would much prefer to have my own section instead of 1 thread. With a section i can do seperate posts for events and releases.
Also, i much prefer a seperate retailer section so that members of the community will stop calling retailers who post more than once spammers. These type of members will do nothing but cause retailers to stop posting at all, which has crossed my mind.

| From my standpoint, every store in the area tends to get all of the new stuff. We all offer different perks to people, and we draw from different parts of town. I don't feel that an announcement needs to be made of every item (new or restock) that comes through my front door. We've tried to keep the announcements on here about potential events that will occur at our shop.
In that light, the current set-up of the forums works fine for us, but if you'd prefer to give each store a separate area then we will abide and use that area.
