Eastside Slow Grow League

Afternoon Everyone.


I am pleased to announce that we will be beginning the first Grow League for Warmachine and Hordes at Eastside games. The aim here is to get new people painting and playing, and get some awesome prizes for it!


Here's how it works: We'll be playing 5 rounds, and you'll have 2 weeks to get in your games for each round. Since this is a newer playgroup, we'll be starting small and growing slowly. You will represent one factoin throughout the league, but may use different casters/lists. Week one will be 15 point games, week two will also be 15, and subsequent rounds will go 25, 25, and 35. I plan to start the first round the week of July 1st.


For each game you win, you'll receive 3 points. For losing, you'll get one point. If you don't get in your game, you'll get 0! Additionally, we'll be putting in an incentive to paint your models. If you play with your models assembled and painted, you'll receive an additonal point for each round you have painted. Pre-painted models are fine, and you can begin painting any unpainted models immediately!


We'll also be featuring two divisions: one for newer players and one for veteran players, so everyone has a great chance of winning a prize. Our prize support will depend on participation, but I'd like to give our prizes to the top two in each division, and at least one painting award.


The cost of participation will be $5, and you can sign up with Clint at Eastside. Please feel free to post questions in this thread, or PM me. So good luck and let the good times roll!

The one small detail I forgot .

I would like to start the week of July 1, so get your registration in the Clint so that we can set down the pairings and prize support!

That's the beautiful thing about this format Marc; you schedule your own matches with your opponent over a 2 week span, so get in games when you can!

We currently have 9 people in the league, and we'll be starting in about a week! Everybody get signed up before the first so that I can get pairings up and we can start getting in our games!

Well, I can do that too

I'm interested as well as I just picked up the Skorne starter kit.

I now have all my models for my 15 point army, so count me in I will pay Clint on Tue.

All paid up and ready to play (well, if Clint gets my jack Tue that is..)

I'll have the postings up later this week, and play will start this coming Sunday! If there are any stragglers left who haven't signed up, now is the time!
