| Thank you Chad. It says that they have an internal power supply that lasts considerably longer than standard power armor. I feel this is still somewhat vague. I have however read a few books where the campaign lasts for months. Now the author does not say that the marines had to recharge etc, but they also dont tell you that thay had to take a bathroom break either, so... I'm thinking an internal nuclear powered device. No recharging and possibly lasting for a few hundred years. This would allow the armor to stay charged during extended battles and even in events such as finding the occasional "lost" terminator who has gone into the self induced coma thing for a few decades only to be discovered later ready to battle at full strength. Any additional suggestions or other fluff greatly appreciated. | |

| Maybe they invented a Nuclear version of a Alternator for their battery packs | |

| And lets not forget solar power. I heard the Imperium is going green in the 42nd. | |

Hmmm perhaps they run off of fecal matter? A poop turbine perhaps....

Marines don't poop Hmm interesting proposal... They are geneticly engineered and have a very machine like view of everyday rituals such as eating... therefore perhaps they do not generate waste as that would be inefficient. Interesting....

| One of the Ciaphas Cain books mentioned a fusion bottle in Inquisitor Vail's suit, so we're probably looking at a sustained fusion reaction. As for pooping we can't discount some sort of hinge on their armors assplate (citation and terminology needed). | |

| Poop powered suits seems reasonable to me. After all methane is a valid fuel source even for today's technology.
Plus it has the bonus of just being funny

| Fusion would be Highly more efficient than methane as previously meintioned... they are geneticly enginered maybe they don't even have a Poo Poo hole they have to be at elast hydrated... so liquid nutrition urin/feces (think bird excrement) would be a reasonable fuel source several of the other options in the 42nd would be plausable as secondary sources as well, solar power absaorption accross the surface of the armor switch to fusion in the dark recesses of the underhive.... Cosmic radation is abundent for collection in space | |
