SpiderHawk's hello. Empty
PostSubject: SpiderHawk's hello.   SpiderHawk's hello. EmptyTue Mar 27, 2012 9:22 am

I have been into games since mom said that ad&d was evil, and I tricked her into buying Heros quest. She lightened up quite a bit and wants me to start collecting cowboys for legends of the old west. I grew up in the suburbs of Milford and played knights in the woods (No foam or math back then.) I studied Art heavily, and ended up as a production designer for feature films. Up until this summer I only played D&D 3.5, that is until I worked on one of the big films that hit Cleveland and went into my friends basement he had what I can only assume to be tens of thousands of dollars of figures dating back twenty plus some years. and terrain covering every surface, there were tightly packed tanks lining the ceiling. He asked if I wanted to play Mordheim. I said "What is that?" and we played for four days strait. he then took me to a shop in cleveland that was so filled with stuff it was hard to walk through and things were packed over my head. I think is was called War Zone. I started with Dwarves And then Orks. I got most of my armies up there. When the film finally ended I came back home and built my table, and started building terrain. I recently ran out of figures to paint, and am waiting for another film before I buy any thing new. I have only a vague notion on how to play Warhammer, and I am a bit fuzzy on Mordheim. My D&D group is converting over to pathfinder and I am figuring that out as well now.

Hi youngspider.

The film experience seems like a pretty good explaination for the craftsmanship demonstrated by your terrain.

I have a Dwarven army as well. I was just thinking about figuring out the point value for the dwarves today.

If your looking for Fantasy help, stop by Art of War on Saturdays. We have 6-8 people playing fantasy and I can gladly crush...teach you the game. Surprised

Dwarves are tasty!

From when to when do you play? I think I have meetings in the morning into afternoon. But i could make it in the evening.

Also does any one know the purchase cost of the Long Drong Slayer Pirates? they are not in the dwarf codex.

See Sean's post about Slayer Pirates.

In terms of playing, we don't even normally start until 3-4pm. Normally play until 8-9ish. Sometimes later...sometimes into the wee hours of the morning...just depends on how long people are there!

Actually Adepticon has adopted the Forgeworld Throne of Chaos list as the "official" Chaos Dwarf army. Buhbye Indy GT Dwarfs.
