New tau allowed? Forgeworld 40k approved? More specifically sensor towers and tetra scout speeders?

Because the Tau book is still within the 30 day mark, Either Tau codex can be used. 40K approved from the apoc 2nd edition book. You must have the Actual book hard copy no .pdfs or copies.
Are the sensor towers and tetra scout speeders in the book?

What if the most up to date information for tetras and towers are from a pdf via forgeworld? Then do I need the book and the pdf? What book? The apoc 2nd edition or new codex?

Are the sensor towers and tetra scout speeders in the apoc 2nd edition book? If so you need the book. Even if the updated rules are only on .pdf and then you need the .pdf as well.

You always need a hard copy of the codex at almost all tournies. But you will need the apoc 2nd edition book in order to run anything from it that is 40K approved.

Does that help?

Sean- I know the event is passed but what about 40K approved in other books beyond Apoc 2nd Ed.

Both IA 11 and IA 12 have disgnated 40K units. Additionally Aeronautica and the IA Imperial Guard 2nd Ed. have the 40K approved disignation. Can I assume those are all eligible as well with actual hard copy book for future Eastside events?

Lotta folks using pdfs and Digital codexes and digital faqs at Adepticon this year. (including our team). I don't believe "hard" copies were required just a "copy of the latest ruleset". Many rules have had pdf updates for 6e.

If it has the 40k Approved stamp it should be ok, I have to confirm this with other books.

Hard Copies mean Legal versions like the actual Codex from GW not a .pdf Printed out from a torrent site or whatever.. A pdf on an Ipad that was purchased from GW is legit. Any updates that are in PDF format are allowed. But in the Case of I believe the TAU Apoc 2nd book there is a free PDF of the TAU update. You will still need the book from where it originally came from and the updated pdf.

Digital FAQ's are acceptable too.

If digital Copies that were not from iBookstore was used then the players got lucky!
