| The red thirst rule says you roll for each unit at the beginning of the game before scout moves are taken and before the first turn is played. Combat Squads splits a single unit into two completely seperate units, so one dice is rolled for each of the units at the start of the game.
If a unit is in a Drop Pod, the unit decides to split up after they have jumped out of the Pod. Am I right in believing that if the unit in the Pod is affected by Red Thirst, then they are split into a Combat Squad they are both affected by the Thirst? | |

| You could probably do it one of two ways.
1. Roll one die for the whole squad since they aren't technically split yet or...
2. Go ahead and split them and roll for each one
Dont have any rules available to me right now to read through it all but I should be unpacked tomorrow and will look into it better. | |

| I would say Nathan's original assumption is correct, because you choose to split into combat squads when the squad deep strikes. | |
