500pt Warhammer Fantasy

Game On Warband games take an hour at the most so maybe we can get some "round robin" action going. We can do 2 games at once on my table (two 4'x4' sections) and help each other out with rules and such. If there is an odd player than we can rotate while one "watches and learns"

It will not take much to get 500pts thrown down. Once we get some player/race commitments and some games under our belts we can move up in say 500pt blocks or even just 100 or so.

Painting Well, to my knowledge all of us are starting fresh. I'd say before we move the group to higher point levels, we commit to painting the first 500 as a whole. Painting could be something accomplished during game time if there is an odd player out or even between Warband matches. No need to rush into a 2000pt army where we're in dire proxy mode. Just my 2 cents.

My Army Having painted Tomb Kings and Empire there is one thing for sure I will not be owning... cavalry models. Alive, Dead or Undead I simply do not enjoy painting horses. I know, Heavy and Fast Cavalry are solid choices in the Warhammer World game wise (Chariots as well) but I just won't do it. With that said I shall declare my oath to the Horned Rat. Sure, I'll need 300 models when the dust settles but for 500pts I can manage a humble 50 or so.

I agree Marc. By the by, I'm planning on getting the Dark Elf Army book tomorrow sometime, and I really will commit to them before any other army. For Khaine!

I'm looking at the High Elves. I'm picking up the codex on Friday with some troops.

I can roll with Lizardmen or Dwarves, when and where? Also, does anyone have a copy of the dwarf codex? I keep trying to pick one up on ebay with little luck.

CJ, are you getting the new high elf codex or the old one? Blood-Traitor!

yeah CJ, I don't think the new one will be around here just yet.

Hobbytown had the new one when I was up there last week.

update for you guys.....I am going with the Wood Elves....

I've got 3 Waywatchers now....3 more coming with a Waywatcher Lord and just ordered a Wood Elf Glade Gaurd coming in around the same time...
