"Premium base" help Empty
PostSubject: "Premium base" help   "Premium base" help EmptySun Sep 05, 2010 6:32 pm

so here's my issue
Playing Malifaux- the figs are on what are being called "Premium Bases"

Having played SWM & Clix on maps getting used to measuring and moving these new base types is a little clunky for me; it seems evey time I try to move a fig they drag and snag on the table top covering

Are there any tricks or "Treatments" you all use for the underside of the fig?

also
as I'm doing more custom bases and using the diorama like inserts on my figs
I'm wondering if I should be using the metal ones ? (Like the ones PP recomends)
Thoughts?

Pick them up and move them. Just hold the tape measure on the table, pick the mini up and set it down at the end of the tape.

When you say "premium" do you mean Resin or ones that come with the figures?

If resin, I sand my bottoms. Just 200 grit and rub in circular motion.

Uh... I really don't have that issue. are you sliding the miniature? What is the table top made of? Felt?

If there are "burs" on the bottom I just remove w/ a hobby knife.
