This is my Chaos Space Marine 1500 point list for the campaign I am about to do.

Okay now in this campaign whatever dies in battle carries over until you restore or change the unit at your main base. So what are your guys views on this list.

You seem to lack in the AT department. especially for what the people in that group field.
Aditionally your squads seem confused with no difened role.
Your relative lack of armor will caused a lot of AT fire to be directed at your terminators who will not be able to withstand it taking out five of your 8 st8 weapons.
After that, you will find the army unwieldy.
You MIGHT have a sweetspot for a termie heavy list.

However against Chris's suits you are going to be outranged/gunned/manuvered
against blackburns vehicles/bikes, you are either not going to be able to handle the armor or be assulted by turn 2, reducing your ability to shoot.
against Jr.'s eldar if he ever gets them figured out, not even your spawn will be able to save you in close combat.

It would help if you told us your strategy/plan of attack to explain your list.

Rob this is for my school group not Blackburns. And I can't really give you a strategy because I have to be ready to fight 6 different armies. One of them nids, one of them orks or space marines, Two for sure space marines (one being nathen and one a blood angels (not Bruce)), dark eldar, and IG. They all fight very differently so it isn't really possible to have a real plan. But mine if I do have one is to stay back and use the missile launchers as cover and attack with my Termies whatever gets to close to the rest of the army. One squad is in a rhino and is gonna go forward and at as a first line of defense so they get tied down there for a turn or two so I can redeploy the rest of my forces to fight them after they kill it off.

We don't have very long to play a decent sized game, and we are low on terrain.

Tyler if you are just a basic gunline w/ limited counter-assault you will get outgunned by at least Ryan, I could if I was going to make that type of list. Not sure about the BA player (who plays them now?), but the 'Nid player will be at your lines by Turn 3 minimum, and if he gets 1st turn again, you are not going to be able to kill enough of his bugs before he hits you. If Kyle is going massed boyz he may be able to hit you with a Turn 2 charge, like Cal did to me yesterday, depending on set-up.

I do not like the lone Rhino squad at all. Why just one, if you run them forward and the Rhino is destroyed (highly likely) they will be stranded and it will be easier to take your army apart piece-meal. Will be back if I think of more.

Doesn't Greg play BA?

Well Nathen again you really can't make an unstopable list for two reasons
1)There will always be a weakness to a list
2)There isn't really a list that can take on six different armies

Besides this is only my first draft for the list.

if you can one side your army effectively enough, you will do well against most opponents

IE: Nidzilla, Falcon, Tau suits

or do something uncharacteristic, but that usualy only works once

1 word: Orks. I think The new Ork codex has something in it that will bring a great balance to hit any army good!
I just haven't found it Sad yet...

The best way to check it is play it! So go and play a couple of games to see where it's weaknesses are and find a way to protect that weakness.

I would but it starts Wesnday so I can't really get a game in....So if this was such a bad list what would you guys sugesst against: Nids, Dark Eldar, Imps, Space Marines, and most likely orks? I really don't know how to make a list that could go against those six different armies.

First start by Editing the Chnaos so that it is spelled properly, Please.

Why the Chaos Spawn? And in the Codex it says they are a demonic gift and cost 20pts.

how bout another Rhino and/or turn one of you troops into a Berzerker unit?

What models do you have to work with? It would help to know so we can suggest possible changes to try out.

I have to disagree that their aren't armies that can take on six different opponents. There are actually quite a few, and chaos doesn't do bad against a lot things itself.

Greg has Dark Eldar, lots of jetbikes and dark-lances.

And I do not recall ever saying "unbeatable," I'm just saying if I went gunline marines you would definantly be outgunned.

I thought you had 2 land raiders?

· Keep the Plasma Pistols off of Champions and Characters. I despise the weapons all together.

· Reaper Autocannon is overpriced for what you get. CombiMeltas good.

· Go double Special Weapon in your Troop squads.

· By dropping a bunch of kits (Havoc Launcher, Meltabombs, PPs, etc) you can get a Havoc squad for all your Missile Launchers.

· Try double CCW on your Dread. You'll be quite pleased as opponents will let it through until its too late.



Of course toss all these out and call me crazy at your leisure Wink
