try not scary, the plague monks seem like to much of a point sink for a unit that has no save at all, also you will get killed in the magic phase by any semi magic useing list, not even thinking about a list like my skaven or a vampire counts list built to add more units. Those are the biggest problems I see in it, the clan rats/slave blocks look good, not a fan of gutter runners but thats up to you(which is your theme correct?) though I have used them in smaller groups which seem to have done about nothing but were still nice to have in small numbers

The gutter runners make excellent charge units. They can hit hard from behind. The Plague monks will use the clanrat slaves as a way to keep from frenzing and getting shot at first. They are meant to hit really hard on their first turn and thats why I have them. The reason I dropped the jezzails is I dont have enough to field the ten strong, but what I lack there I make up with the ratling guns and the flame thrower. I have my assassin also for a sneak attack and I didnt take more magic because if someone really wants to get nasty with it, there wasn't much I could do. I would rather have more of the rats then waste points on trying to score more dice.

The reason they don't work well in small teams is, you have to be able to make the charge first and you should be hitting with them after another unit has charged. By themselves they are ok but when you take a flank with these guys you are really going to screw someones day, plus I put them as tunnelers and I have the poisoned weapons.

Marc I wouldn't go cheering just yet. I do have enough things to take down heavy cav.

the problem with the Rat guns is they are not hard to out range then chagre(stay out of their range then charge them or their host unit) while yes you can still shot into the combat it still hurts that rat guns if they lose their host unit

I think you are spreading yourself to thin in some areas there and putting point into units that even given the charge are hard pressed to get anywere close to makeing their points up both the Plague Monks and the Plague Sensors have never earned their points back even aganist another skaven player(or for that matter a wood elf player who admits he plays his whole army wrong). The bell should also go due to its lack of show(to much random stuff with the 3 support guns and the bell, the cannon and the tunneling teams you are just asking for your list to go compelty wrong. While it might cost more money yea you should just buy more clan rats and slaves your 1st list was much better than your 2nd one.

First off I am using what I have. Second off the Plague Monks and Plague Censers work but only if you plan your charges right. They both have hatred and frenzy. I bought the Burning Banner of Hatred for the monks. Which makes them nasty on the first hits. The Bell is very useful for helping to enhance your army. The tunnelers make for great flank attackers, which is what I am using them for. The guns and the throwers are so I can cause even more problems with their armies when they get tied up. I keep in the true meaning of skaven and only care about the win not how many of my guys survive. The cannon makes great for busting up hard units and making nasty times for everyone lol. I want to play test this list and see how it goes.

both lists look interesting. I don't play Skaven, but have played against them. If you get the right rolls, the tunnelers can be vicious. The Jezzails are over priced for what you get but at 2250, one unit does help round out a list. It will be interesting to see how well the grey seer/screaming bell combo does without more magic support.

Jt hatred is not that great, all I need to do is throw a few rnaged attacks and either unit is dead and gone simple as that. And even given the monks huge advantages Ive seen them lose easily to clan rats, who should be a whole lot weaker at a same number battle(20 on 20). But whatever if you are not willing to accept what other people say then dont bother posting your lists, simple as that. ever time someone posts a commont/segustions all you do is jump down their throats. and yes I have done this a few times. But anyways the Bell is not even as good as it looks as paper it has far to much random rolls and drawbacks that its bad outweighs its good

Well you just figured out skavens lack the reliability of every other army. HELLOOOOOO!!!!!!! Its the skaven, you don't trust them to do anything well, just well enough. I expect things to blow up go wrong. Thats why I play skaven. I am accepting peoples points I was just giving rebuttal to your statements. The bell can be very useful IF it works. I am not saying that this is anywhere near a great army but it will be a fun one to play.

Just so you know Bruce, there is a big difference between me rebutting and me jumping down your throat. I would be a lot more vicious and more hateful about it. If you have a problem with it Bruce then quit talking.

I thank everyone for their input and will be interested in play testing this soon.

not really not for you. anyhow I play skaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know what to expect from them I know how to build a winning list, I just dont feel like spending the hundreds of dollors I would have to still spend to get one right now. and if thats what you call rebutting..........thats funny oh well hey I am just trying to help, if you dont like my advice dont counter it, it will do you no good, instead just dont consider it for your changes to your list
