4th Edition: Need a Player?

Hi everyone, I'm on the lookout for a D&D group to join - preferably 4e. I live in the West Chester area, but I'm willing to travel a bit for a good game. Is there anyone with room for another player?

There has been talk of starting a weekly 4/e game at Sci Fi City.

Nothing definite yet.

Hell, I could give it a try, even tho I'm more comfortable reffing GURPS.

Eric's buddy, James Scott was a pretty good DungeonMaster on Demo day - maybe we could talk him into it.

Well, I can DM if I have to, but I'm really hoping to play instead of DM. I'm the default DM for my group up at college, and I rarely get to actually play a character. Perhaps if no one's willing to commit to anything long-term, we could just run a single-serving adventure each week and rotate DMs, to give everyone a chance to feel out the new system and test out some different characters.

That would put us at 5 if everyone is still interested.

I use to play GURPs back in the day, fun game. I heard it isn't the same game I use to play though. Next time Jim is in the store when you are, you should have him tell you some of his GURP's stories .

I'm willing to run either.

Thing is, I'm just more comfortable with the GURPS rules and style. Although 4th edition D&D is kind of brand-new to all of for the most part.

Is it wanting to try 4th /e D&D or just wanting a weekly RPG of some kind? Whats the preference?

This coming week I am the morning shift till 5:30pm each day.

Someone in this thread mentioned Tuesdays as a time for the game.

How about those of you that want a NEW weekly RPG campaign at the store - stop by, give me your name and contact info and we'll go from there.

I work the morning shift every day this week Tuesday through Saturday. If anyone wants to stop Tuesday after 5:30pm - we can characters, maybe even create and talk starting point and fun stuff like that.

So, we definitely hsve 5 potential players for this? my upper limit is usually 6 players just to make sure that each person gets enough time to be Part of the action or story.

I am not experienced with the new GURP ruleset, my books are several years old, (like 10 or so). What genre would you want to run?
I also like DnD, it is what got me started in RPG's so I am willing to go with the majority.

I am interested, I will send you an email after I talk to me friend and see if Tuesday works for him.
